DENVER, CO – NCAA Division II awards funding to Forward Progress Athletics Consulting for Foundation for the Future Initiative
NCAA Division II announced on May 5 that it will distribute $5.7 million to a myriad of programs that support division’s strategic plan. Forward Progress was chosen as one of the funding recipients for its proposal regarding D II academic metrics.
“We are extremely excited the Division II Presidents Council and the Division II Academic Requirements Committee chose to partner with Forward Progress Athletics Consulting via the Foundation for the Future Initiative to advance the Division II Strategic Plan” remarked John Shukie, President of Forward Progress.
“To me, the Foundation for the Future is all about making an incredible investment in our student-athletes and this division, said Steve Scott, president of Pittsburg State University and chair of the Presidents Council. I am convinced it will have a long-term significant impact on making us all better.”
Over the next two years, Forward Progress will be assessing Division II academic metrics, including the Academic Success Rate (ASR) and Academic Tracking System (ATS). This review will focus on the utilization, accuracy and future of each metric.
