Forward Progress president John Shukie announced the staffing move Friday: “We are very excited to have someone of Kelly Brooks’ caliber on our staff at Forward Progress. Kelly brings a great breath of knowledge and experience from his time at the NCAA national office, a Division I conference office and campuses. His diverse set of skills will greatly benefit Forward Progress’ clients”. Brooks will act as a lead staff member with various Forward Progress clients, assisting with all relevant NCAA regulatory needs. He will also focus on business development for the company.

Brooks has spent the past 20 years gaining experience at the NCAA National Office, the Southwestern Athletic Conference, and at the campus level at various Division I athletic departments. He graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a Mathematics degree and earned his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with an emphasis in Athletic Administration fromUniversity of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
